Health Guarantee Details

Duration: This health guarantee is valid for five (5) years from the date of purchase.

Coverage: The following conditions are covered under this guarantee:
-
Genetic disorders such as Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM)
-
Congenital defects affecting the kitten's health
-
Serious infectious diseases (Feline Leukemia Virus, Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, etc.) that are confirmed by a licensed veterinarian

Buyer Responsibilities
To maintain the validity of this health guarantee, the buyer agrees to:

Schedule a veterinary examination within 72 hours of receiving the kitten.

Provide the breeder with a copy of the veterinary report within this timeframe.
-
Follow proper care guidelines, including regular veterinary check-ups, vaccinations, and a balanced diet.


Breeder Responsibilities
In the event that a kitten is found to have a covered health issue within the guarantee period, Whiskers and Coon will:

Provide a replacement kitten of equal value, or
-
Refund the purchase price, at the breeder's discretion.
Exclusions
This health guarantee does not cover:

Conditions resulting from neglect, abuse, or improper care by the buyer.
-
Common illnesses such as colds or parasites that do not pose a serious health risk.
-
Any health issues that arise after the kitten has been in the buyer's possession for more than one year.


Transfer of Ownership

This health guarantee is non-transferable. It applies only to the original purchaser of the kitten
MAINE COON HEALTH (Everything you need to know)
VACCINATION
6-8 Weeks:
First FVRCP
Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, and Panleukopenia vaccine

10-12 Weeks: Second FVRCP
Booster to ensure full immunity development

14-16 Weeks: Final FVRCP
Third vaccine in series, completed before going home (if age appropriate)

Rabies Vaccine
Administered at 12+ weeks if required by local law or requested by adopter
MEDICALS
Regular Deworming
Starting at 2 weeks old, repeated every 2-3 weeks

Flea & Tick Prevention
Age-appropriate parasite prevention applied regularly

Physical Examinations
Complete vet check at 8, 12, and 16 weeks minimum
